Cape group is excited to announce its collaboration with Terra Housing Consultants to deliver a new rental housing project for Lu’ma Native Housing Society. This BC Housing-funded project is a 4-storey wood frame, 23-unit rental development situated at 3680 East 22nd Avenue, on the east side of Vancouver in the Renfrew-Collingwood neighbourhood.

Lu’ma society continuously works to improve the lives of indigenous people across BC by providing safe, clean and beautiful accommodation for its residents to live in and be proud of. Lu’ma Native Housing Society was incorporated in 1980 and is guided by a volunteer board of directors. Lu’ma was created to provide affordable housing to aboriginal families and individuals with low to moderate income. The society currently operates and owns just under 500 units of affordable housing. Through its evolution, Lu’ma has become focused on providing a broader range of services that focus on improving the quality of life for its tenants and community. In response to the challenge of finding solutions for pressing aboriginal concerns, the society has partnered with The Federal Government and the broader community in order to continue its quest in resolving indigenous related issues and improving the lives of many, across the province.

Cape Group is proud to have been chosen to provide the design-build construction management services for this project. We know that this development will help to facilitate individuals in pursuing their passions, without the stress of housing costs. We look forward to getting started and making this a reality!
